About modogrun
We're not dog walkers. We're athletic conditioning specialists who treat you dog like the athlete they are. Because every dog deserves structured, professional training, and wellness.
Our mission
MoDogRun was founded on a simple belief: dogs are athletes, not pets to be coddled. They need structure, consistency, and real physical conditioning. A stroll around the block doesn't cut it - for most dogs.
We bring professional-grade slatmill (treadmill specifically designed for dogs) training directly to your driveway in Novi, MI. No more weather excuses. No more inconsistent exercise. No more under-conditioned, anxious dogs.
Our mission is to help dog owners give their dogs what they actually need: focused, supervised, results-driven conditioning that builds endurance, confidence, and better behavior.

Our Philosophy
Dogs as athletes
Every dog - from working breeds to companion dogs - has athletic potential. We unlock it through structured, progressive conditioning that respects their natural abilities.
Behavior through Fitness
Most behavior problems stem from under-exercise. We don't train obedience - we build the physical foundation that makes good behavior natural and sustainable.
Trust & Transparency
Your dog's safety is non-negotiable. We maintain one-on-one supervision, climate control, and real-time monitoring. No shortcuts, no compromises.

The Founder
Brandon Sturgis
I trained obedience under a master trainer and worked in military Schutzhund environments as “the ball,” creating pressure, pushing drive, and learning firsthand how dogs truly respond. After that, I worked with high-anxiety dogs and their owners to restore balance, structure, and calm. MoDogRun is built from real experience, not theory.
My Philosophy
Most behavior problems are energy problems. Dogs need structured, intentional movement to stay calm, focused, and balanced. MoDogRun provides controlled, dog-specific exercise that supports long-term health, better behavior, and a stronger human-dog bond.
When dogs get the right outlet, everything else gets easier.
